SAN FRANCISCO - Some homosexual marriage supporters are urging people to "call in gay" Wednesday to show how much the country relies on homosexuals, but others question whether it's wise to encourage skipping work given the nation's economic distress.

Organizers of "Day Without a Gay" -- scheduled to coincide with International Human Rights Day and modeled after similar work stoppages by Latino immigrants -- also are encouraging people to perform volunteer work and refrain from spending money.

ahhhhahahah, I can see it now. I can see the men in this area doing this, "I can't come in to work today, I'm gay"........NOT!

Let us hope that the wheels of progress would just keep on turning in our area. I think the ones in our neck of the woods stay out of the mainstream of shouting their sexual preference from the rooftops. Some even say they are "discreet"....big joke, as though two guys, two gals, living together is just a sleepover.

Would be far better just to be truthful about it. Could prevent a lot of hurt and heartache to innocent people along the way.
